Vertical Recruitment are proud to be working with a reputable energy and utility contractor, due continued growth they have an opening for a Electrical Design Engineer, to join their Head Office in Blackburn, to work in this exciting and growing sector of the industry.
Key responsibilities
* Delivery of projects on time, within budget and to expected safety standards.
* Producing detailed drawings for quotations, construction and as built records.
* Producing comprehensive specifications for quotation and purchasing purposes.
* Interpretation of electrical drawings, evaluation of Factory Acceptance Testing and hardware specifications.
* Generation of Bill of Materials (BOM)to support procurement and assembly processes.
* Design, wiring, testing and installation of electrical controls in adherence to national standards.
* Managing the installation and commissioning of industrial systems including switchboards, containment systems, SWA cabling, inspection and testing activities, ensuring seamless integration.
* Writing of comprehensive functional specifications and other documentation for control systems.
Qualifications
* Educated to HND/Degree level in Electrical Engineering
* 18th Edition Certification
* SMSTS or equivalent
* CSCS/ECS Card
Knowledge and experience
* Demonstrable on-site engineering experience from within the building services industry (Essential)
* Experience of HV and LV systems
* Strong design capabilities, including panel building and wiring
* Experience in creating P&ID’s, IO schedules
* Knowledge of BMS/PLC’s including programming and c commissioning

* Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications.
* Able to travel to customer sites across the UK must have a Full UK driving license.
