Kennedys is seeking a talented and motivated Associate with 2+ years' post-qualification experience to join its growing Professional Liability team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded team, advising insurers and professionals on a broad range of complex and high-value claims.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of professional indemnity matters, acting for insurers and professionals across sectors such as construction, legal, financial, and other advisory services. The role will involve both contentious and advisory work, offering strong exposure to high-profile disputes and strategic client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a caseload of professional liability claims from inception to resolution
* Advising insurer clients on coverage and policy issues
* Assisting on complex, high-value litigation in the High Court
* Drafting pleadings, reports, and client correspondence
* Engaging directly with clients, experts, and counsel
* Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management
About You
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ PQE
* Experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation, or commercial disputes
* Strong technical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
* A proactive and collaborative approach
* Commercial awareness and interest in the insurance sector
