Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Wellingborough, who are seeking a committed Science Instructor to join their team from February 2026. The role is offered on a February to July basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for someone confident in delivering Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, who is eager to develop classroom experience while making a positive impact on student engagement and achievement.
The Role:
1. Deliver structured and engaging Science lessons using existing schemes of work
2. Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, adapting content where needed
3. Support students in developing scientific understanding, enquiry skills, and confidence
4. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners, including SEND
5. Work collaboratively with the Science department and pastoral teams
6. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment, providing clear feedback
About You:
7. Strong subject knowledge in Science or a related discipline
8. Experience working with secondary-aged students (teaching, tutoring, or classroom support)
9. Confident, professional classroom presence
10. Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting all learners
11. A degree in a Science-related subject is desirable, but not essential
