We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing electrical contractor based in Gosport, Hampshire.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a fully qualified Electrician to support increasing demand across their marine, industrial and commercial portfolio. Domestic works currently form a smaller part of the business but will continue to grow with the right person.
This is a varied, high-quality role covering environments such as marine facilities, generators, industrial sites and commercial premises including major hotel groups.
They are also happy to fully train, upskill and fund further tickets and qualifications for the right engineer.
The role
You will be carrying out a mix of installation, testing, maintenance and fault-finding works across:
Marine environments
Industrial and commercial premises
Generators and associated systems
EV charging and emerging technologies (where trained)
Typical duties include
Initial site surveys
Testing, fault finding and repair
Electrical installations and testing
EICRs
PAT testing
Selection of parts and materials
Working in line with BS7671 and IEE regulations
Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
The majority of work is across the South of England. Occasional working away and extended travel may be required.
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition
C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection (or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of BS7671 and IEE regulations
Valid JIB or ECS card
Full clean UK driving licence
Own tools
Good communication and client-facing skills
Desirable (not Essential)
