Job Title: Room Leader

An amazing opportunity has arisen at Tender Years Day Nursery, they are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and organised individuals to join our wonderful team. The Room Leader will provide high-quality care, create a stimulating learning environment, supervise staff, and collaborate with the management team to continuously improve practices.
Room Leader responsibilities are:
* Work as a room leader and to implement the nursery curriculum.
* Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
* Ensure key children have appropriate weekly targets and contribute to planning.
* Lead planning and maintain accurate and effective children's records using an online system
* Build positive relationships with staff members.
* Communicate with parents via the EY Log system, completing daily diaries and inputting observations.
* Reflect on daily practice, promote equality and diversity, and adapt routines to meet children's individual needs.
* Attend staff meetings, and training sessions and complete required online training.
* Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
* Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
* Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand and when necessary follow Safeguarding Procedures.
* Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met and that Food Safety Regulations are complied with.
* Comply with all the relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and company policies and procedures at all times.
* Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policy and practice.
Room Leader requirements are:
* Must be Level 3 qualified
* Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
* Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
* Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
* Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
* Managing and maintaining administration requirements
Experience
* Childcare: 3 years (preferred)
* Relevant childcare qualification.
* Experience in a similar role is required.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
