Are you a reliable, hands-on individual looking to make a difference in a school community? A welcoming secondary school in Halifax is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join their team on a long-term basis, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
Support with site security, including opening and locking up
Assist with deliveries and moving furniture/equipment
Respond to health & safety issues promptly
âś… Requirements:
Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities role (preferred)
Good practical skills and a proactive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
