Working across a range of waste streams (residual, recycling and green waste) you will be expected to safely operate a range of waste collection vehicles, continuously improve collection round efficiency and drive performance. Working as part of a team, you will deliver waste collection services to householders across the borough. You will also promote and encourage environmentally responsible behaviour and help to improve participation in recycling activities so as to increase the boroughs recycling rate and reduce litter on our streets. About You Refuse Loaders are the cornerstone of our operations. You will be professional, organised and meticulous in your approach. Happy to work in all weathers and with high level of physical fitness, and able to move heavy loads. You will be task focussed and motivated to get the job done. Previous experience is desirable, and you will be expected to follow instructions and work to strict deadlines. A flexible approach to working hours (from 5:15 am) is essential as operations commence early in the morning and involve working on Bank Holidays. As you will be working in the community, a high level of customer care combined with the ability to influence recycling behaviours are essential.
