The Role
As part of our Education and Learning team, you will design and deliver curriculum-aligned safeguarding sessions and resources for children, young people, parents/carers, and the professionals who support them. This includes creating new content for our educational hubs (such as our award-winning Teach Hub) and refreshing existing materials to ensure they remain age-appropriate, inclusive, and evidence-informed. You will work collaboratively across teams and directly with young people to co-design content, gather feedback, and evaluate impact. The role is flexible, with opportunities to contribute to wider safeguarding projects and produce written materials for specific safeguarding purposes. It will particularly suit applicants with experience in safeguarding, education, or teaching.

About You
We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a strong commitment to our Safeguarding First approach. You will be able to lead projects, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight timelines, ensuring all learning materials are current, credible and developmentally appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, write, review, and update lessons, schemes of work, and safeguarding resources for our educational hubs and safeguarding products.
* Develop and deliver safeguarding education sessions for children and young people (in person and online), adapting delivery for age, need, and context.
* Contribute to training development for professionals, teachers, parents, and carers.
* Ensure resources reflect good practice, are trauma-informed, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
* Coordinate the end-to-end resource development process (research, drafting, quality assurance, piloting, incorporating feedback, and finalising to deadlines).
* Maintain alignment with NI and wider UK curricula and learning frameworks; map learning outcomes and assessment opportunities.
* Engage with children and young people to gather insights and evaluate impact, ensuring their voice informs the design and delivery of our content.
* Provide clear progress updates the Head of Education and Learning and Directors.
* Adapt quickly to changing priorities, timescales, and deadlines.
* Maintain accurate digital filing and complete general administrative tasks.
* Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Directors and the Head of Education and Learning, which may evolve with the needs of the organisation.

Essential Criteria
* Previous education experience.
* Experience working directly with children and young people.
* Sound understanding of safeguarding practice.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with young people.
* Excellent written English, with accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Desirable Criteria
* Strong understanding of the Northern Ireland curriculum and/or wider UK curricula and learning frameworks.
* Experience creating engaging, age-appropriate educational materials and lesson plans, including differentiated resources.
* Confidence delivering sessions to children, young people, and adults.
* Excellent computer skills (the company primarily uses Mac hardware and the Microsoft 365 suite).
* High attention to detail and commitment to QA.
* Knowledge of online platforms used by young people, including gaming and social media or a contemporary understanding of safeguarding in the digital world.
* Proven ability to write to a publishable standard.

Hours of Work
Normal working for full time staff is 8 hours per day (a working day is 9.00am-5.00pm or other mutual arrangement - there will also be, on occasion, some additional hours including post 5pm and weekend duties as required).
