Your new role
As a Technical Writer in AI, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising high-quality technical documentation for our products.
You will leverage AI tools to streamline content creation, ensure clarity and enhance user experience. Your role will bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and accessible, user-friendly documentation in both English and German.
The ideal candidate combines technical writing expertise, AI literacy, and strong communication skills to create clear, structured and efficient documentation. You will also manage documentation workflows as well as optimise and integrate AI-assisted documentation and translation processes.
The role demands creativity, communication, and adaptability, as content strategies must evolve with changing trends and technologies.
The work you‘ll do
* Develop, maintain and optimise technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, knowledge base articles and FAQs.
* Utilise AI tools to enhance content generation, consistency and translation for English and German audiences.
* Collaborate with developers, product managers, and customer support teams to ensure documentation is accurate, comprehensive and aligned with product updates.
* Implement structured documentation practices within our CMS (Storyblok or similar).
* Ensure compliance with documentation standards, accessibility requirements and best practices.
* Continuously refine and improve documentation workflows using AI-assisted content generation, translation, and editing tools.
* Provide input on UX writing to improve in-app content and user onboarding materials.
The qualifications you need
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Linguistics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in technical writing, content creation and documentation management for software or SaaS products.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German (both C1 as a minimum).
* Experience working with AI-assisted writing tools (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepL or similar).
* Familiarity with CMS and project management platforms, such as Storyblok, Confluence, JIRA or similar systems.
* Attention to detail in creating or editing content for clarity, grammar, punctuation and tone.
* Proficiency in AI-enhanced writing, translation and video generation tools.
* Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content.
* The ability to stay focused and productive without requiring external direction whilst working independently to specific deadlines in order to manage multiple projects.
* Strong stakeholder management and ability to gather requirements from multiple teams.
