Position
Fixed Term Contract – 12 months maternity cover – Part Time, 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the GP Associate Postgraduate Dean, GP Training Programme Directors, GP Tutor and GP Training Programme Manager.
* Supervise, oversee and coordinate the administrative requirements of the GP Training Programme, post‑graduate medical education, post CCT GP and Practice Nurse education, and continuing professional development (CPD) delivered by the Swindon GP Education Trust.
* Assist in the day‑to‑day operational running of the Academy, including providing reception cover when required.
* Understand and oversee the administration of GP Medical Education across primary care, handling complex and confidential information sensitively.
* Support the GP Training Programme Manager in delivering the programme and produce reports for NHSEWTE, the School of Primary Care, Swindon GP Education Trust and on behalf of the Trust the Charity Commission.
* Work within relevant policies and procedures and, where appropriate, suggest changes and improvements to practices and protocols within the Medical and GP Education Department.
* Evaluate mandatory teaching programmes for GP trainee doctors and CPD for post‑CCT GPs and Practice Nurses in liaison with relevant leads and the GP Training Programme Manager.
* Plan and coordinate GP training placements across the three years of training, liaising with NHSEWTE, the School of Primary Care, Gloucester NHSFT and Great Western NHSFT.
* Plan, coordinate and maintain data required for the full mandatory re‑approval processes for GP Educational Supervisors, Clinical Supervisors and Out‑of‑Hours Supervisors, and administer the GP Training Programme Director appraisal process.
* Work with and oversee GP administration colleagues in the delivery, administration, evaluation and quality assurance of trainee teaching, GP medical education and CPD courses, and supervise the Swindon GP Education Trust Administrator.
* Maintain up‑to‑date financial records regarding invoicing, collection and banking of trust membership, course payments and cost analysis; prepare annual accounts for the Trust and submit returns to the Charity Commission.
Eligibility & Qualifications
* Current right to work in the UK, subject to verification.
* Qualification for the eligibility sponsorship criteria appropriate to the Skilled Worker visa scheme.
* Experience in GP training or medical education administration is desirable.
