Westrop Practice seeks an experienced, proactive, and professional First Contact Physiotherapist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. This role requires a highly competent individual with significant senior-level experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Experience in delivering joint injections would be an advantage but is not essential.
The successful candidate will provide clinical excellence in physiotherapy management as the first point of patient contact, working independently and efficiently across remote consultations and face-to-face clinical assessments.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality physiotherapy consultations through face-to-face, telephone, and online platforms.
2. Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of MSK/orthopaedic conditions.
3. Manage undifferentiated presentations and develop care plans.
4. Collaborate closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
5. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous medical records in line with professional and practice standards.
6. Actively contribute to QOF achievement, clinical audits, and related quality improvement initiatives.

* Deliver first-contact MSK assessments and treatment for adults across Westrop's patient population.
* Diagnose and manage complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning and manual assessment techniques.
* Provide safety-netting, set appropriate goals, and refer to secondary care where further rehab is required.
* Maintain clear, timely, and legally compliant clinical records in line with CSP standards.
* Communicate effectively with GPs, external services, and patients, including those with complex or sensitive needs.
* Prioritise, plan, and manage your own caseload independently, while contributing to service development.
* Adhere to all mandatory training, safeguarding protocols, and clinical governance procedures.
* Maintain and evidence CPD in line with the FCP Roadmap and HPC/CSP standards.
* Support audits, quality improvement, and service evaluation where appropriate.
Desirable
* Experience delivering joint injections (not essential).
Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC and CSP registered with 10 years post-graduate experience.
Experience
* Experience working in MSK/orthopaedic physiotherapy at a senior level.
* Background of NHS training and expertise in MSK/orthopaedic fields.
