Office Essentials have been providing everything to run businesses effectively and efficiently for well over 50 years across the region, from our base on Winsford Industrial Estate.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to join our expanding team. You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week working 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Ideally you will have some multi drop experience as you will be spending your day delivering office solutions to longstanding Clients across the region. This includes stationery, furniture, printing supplies, and janitorial products.
The work will provide great variety and can involve a mix of routes and tasks throughout the week.
You will possess a full UK driving license and have excellent communication skills that you will use to provide a professional service and great customer satisfaction, which ultimately leads to client retention.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate vehicles, including delivery vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
* Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement during transit
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
* Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
* Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation, heavy lifting, and inventory management when required
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using company systems
* Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
* Valid UK driver's license
* Strong organisational skills to plan routes efficiently
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks with ease
* Good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
