What will you be doing?

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Inside Sales Representative will support the Sales team through lead generation, customer engagement, and sales operations activities. This role is initially focused on our Unmanned Systems datalink market and involves managing inbound enquiries and proactive outbound outreach to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

It is a highly interactive role that collaborates closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities include identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and supporting the sales process from initial contact through opportunity development.

The position offers an opportunity to develop strong commercial and technical awareness while contributing directly to sales growth through relationship building, CRM management, and campaign execution. Excellent potential exists for forward career progression to Sales Account Manager within the team for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

* Support the external Sales team with quoting activities, opportunity updates, and lead creation within the CRM system.
* Manage inbound enquiries and proactively generate leads through outbound calls and targeted campaigns.
* Engage with customers to understand their needs and identify potential sales opportunities.
* Provide product information and respond to customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions and opportunities within Salesforce CRM.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering, Operations, and Logistics to support the sales process and customer delivery.
* Participate in sales meetings and contribute to team alignment, pipeline development, and performance tracking.


About You

The ideal candidate is a motivated, customer‑focused sales professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to lead generation. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, they will be confident engaging with customers over the phone and through digital channels while maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will bring a positive, coachable attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to team success. An interest in technology and the ability to quickly understand customer requirements are key to identifying and developing sales opportunities.


Qualifications

* 2-5 years of experience in a sales or inside sales role, ideally within Telecommunications, Defence, or Government sectors (desired but not required).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset.
* Confidence in outbound calling and lead generation activities.
* Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce experience preferred.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* A solid understanding of the sales lifecycle and how to identify and develop opportunities.
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AI tools for lead generation considered beneficial.
