The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to take ownership as our HR Onboarding and Compliance Coordinator. You will be primarily responsible for the timely completion and accurate saving of all critical compliance checks, ensuring a seamless, low-risk employee lifecycle. Excelling in meticulous record-keeping and proactive workflow management, you will also serve as a vital Subject Matter Expert, providing essential guidance and support to both employees and managers across the business.
* Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (up to 2 years)
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
* Location: Hybrid working model
What You'll be Doing:
You will be primarily responsible for the proactive management of all time-critical compliance workflows, from initial hire to ongoing tenure:
* Compliance Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the internal SME, providing clear guidance on HR compliance in line with current legislation and company policies.
* Right to Work Mastery: Meticulously manage RTW checks throughout an employee's tenure. Proactively manage monthly reports, process renewals for expired documents, and immediately escalate critical issues to HR Advisors/HRBPs to maintain low risk.
* Safeguarding Compliance: Oversee the diligent processing and renewal of DBS checks, maintaining a proactive schedule to manage expiry dates and the rechecking process seamlessly.
* System Ownership: Be a key stakeholder in understanding and engaging with our compliance systems (RTW & DBS providers) to ensure smooth operations.
* Data Integrity & Confidentiality: Maintain impeccable records in the HRIS, ensuring strict compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies regarding data integrity and confidentiality.
* Process Improvement: Proactively drive improvement projects and processes in compliance expertise, collaborating with the Senior HR team.
* Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate compliance records and tracking tools to ensure all records are fully up-to-date, facilitating accurate reporting and preparing the business for any necessary audits.
* Risk Escalation: Promptly escalate compliance issues presenting serious business or legal risks, ensuring these are managed immediately.
What You'll Bring:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional who demonstrates the following:
* Possesses a CIPD Level 3 qualification and shows a proactive commitment to achieving Level 5, or demonstrates equivalent experience gained as a seasoned HR Administrator or Advisor.
* Exceptional proficiency in coaching, counselling, and performance management, with the ability to swiftly identify and address complex employee relations issues.
* A natural people-person with proven ability to build and maintain strong, credible relationships across all levels of the business, from senior managers to frontline teams.
* Possesses impeccable organisational skills, clear communication abilities, and proven experience in effectively managing and prioritising a high-volume, dynamic workload.
* Experienced in reporting, analysing data, and proficient in utilising tools like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to extract insights.
* A comprehensive understanding of the full scope of HR policies, processes, and best practices, enabling quick and effective decision-making across the employee lifecycle.
