A highly respected and forward-thinking secondary school in Reading is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Second in Department for Physics to support the leadership of their high-performing Science faculty. Your Role
* Support the Head of Science in curriculum leadership, assessment design, and staff development within the Physics team
* Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including A-Level, using a mix of theoretical and practical teaching strategies
* Help drive improvements in student progress and outcomes through mentoring, CPD, and targeted intervention
* Coordinate enrichment such as robotics challenges, engineering partnerships, and physics Olympiad coaching
* Take a lead role in resource management and lab safety, working closely with technical staff

* A qualified Physics teacher with strong subject knowledge and experience across the secondary age range
* Passionate about making Physics accessible, challenging, and inspiring for all learners
* Experienced in mentoring or supporting colleagues and keen to develop leadership skills further
* Skilled at using data to inform teaching and raise achievement
