Role: Sewing Machinist / Sewing Operative (Temp to Perm)
Location: Exhall, Coventry
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15 & Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (for the right candidate)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual who can offer flexibility and commitment.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, demonstrate a professional approach to their work, and have a genuine "can-do" attitude towards their responsibilities. While experience is essential, training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating industrial sewing machines in a fast-paced production setting
* Sewing a range of materials to required specifications
* Carrying out twin needle sewing, top sewing, flat sewing, and overlocking
* Ensuring consistently high-quality production
* Completing regular sewing machine checks and basic maintenance
* Working to production targets and deadlines
* Following health & safety and quality procedures
* Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or similar role
* Experience with:
o Twin needle machines
o Top sewing
o Flat sewing
o Overlock machines
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to learn and undertake training where required
* Good timekeeping and reliability
