Overview
Due to re-location, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit experienced Occupational Therapists to join our inpatient team, working alongside other Band 7 Therapists to lead the inpatient orthopaedic and frailty teams. This role offers a chance to broaden leadership experience, providing clinical leadership and taking responsibility for the operational management of Occupational Therapists in the inpatient teams.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who demonstrates a safe, patient-centred approach to care, underpinned by sound clinical knowledge in evidence-based assessment. You should be a practitioner with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Successful applicants will also be expected to contribute to weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Responsibilities
* Lead the inpatient Occupational Therapy teams (orthopaedics and frailty) and work collaboratively with other inpatient leads.
* Line manage the Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy assistants at a professional and operational level.
* Ensure good caseload management and meet the needs of the service and patients, including working across 7 days to support patient flow.
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments where appropriate and direct interventions when necessary.
* Support the development of 7-day working across the inpatient team.
* Contribute to weekend & Bank Holiday staffing as required.

Qualifications and requirements
* Proven ability to provide safe, patient-centred care with strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based assessment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
* Experience in clinical leadership and operational management of OT teams is desirable.
* Willingness to contribute to 7-day working across the inpatient team.
