Residential Property Solicitor (3+ PQE) OR Legal Exec (10yr Experience)
Location: Near Stockport (Greater Manchester)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience)
Experience: 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Exec to join an established, local firm with a strong conveyancing offering across the Stockport area. You’ll handle a varied caseload of residential property matters with the support of a close-knit team and a genuinely client-focused approach.
The Opportunity
* Run a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
* Handle a mix of sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
* Manage freehold and leasehold transactions
* Draft and review contracts, TR1s, reports on title and supporting documentation
* Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and third parties to progress matters efficiently
* Deal with exchange and completion, including pre‑completion and post‑completion formalities
* Ensure files are maintained accurately and in line with firm and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
* 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in residential conveyancing OR 10 yr experience for unqualified
* Proven ability to manage a conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong technical knowledge across the conveyancing process (including leasehold)
* Confident communicator with a client‑first mindset
* Strong organisation and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a busy, deadline‑driven environment
Desirable
* Experience of more complex residential matters (for example, new build or shared ownership)
* Experience supporting junior colleagues or contributing to team development
What’s On Offer
