To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Technical Manager, Bar Products located in Kendal.
In this role, you will lead our Bar Product Technical Team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role is pivotal in maintaining and growing Anord Mardix's reputation as a market leader in the critical power industry.
What a typical day looks like
* Lead and manage the UK Bar Product Technical Team, providing guidance and support;
* Ensure all Bar Products comply with the relevant industry standards and regional regulations;
* Manage resource allocation effectively to deliver assigned tasks in a timely manner;
* Manage performance of the Bar Product Technical Team and identify areas for individual and team investment and improvement;
* Participate in team development and mentoring to achieve Engineering Excellence;
* Contribute with the Quality & Engineering Systems departments to improve business best practice;
* Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise where required;
* Liaise directly with clients and company members to troubleshoot and resolve technical queries (via electronic communications or face-to-face meetings, in the office or on site);
* Take ownership of Bar Product documentation from accuracy, content and availability perspective to clients and company members in line with the document control function;
* Drive continuous improvement activities within engineering/technical functions;
* Promote proactive risk identification, mitigation and resolution.
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering qualifications (BEng/MEng/CEng preferred) or comparable industrial experience;
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Busbar Trunking Systems;
* Understanding of IEC 61439-6 Busbar trunking systems (busways) is essential;
* AutoCAD experience is advantageous;
* Ability to interpret product standards, component technical information and technical drawings;
* Excellent personnel management, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (verbal and written);
* Pro-active, practical and flexible approach to work;
* A valid full driving licence is required, with occasional travel as needed.
