The role:
Jointhe team to play a pivotal role in the commercial management ofdiverse civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities willencompass everything from preparing tender and contract documentsto managing the financial aspects of projects. You'll beinstrumental in procuring the best supply chain assessingcommercial risks and ensuring the financial compensation forcompleted work is timely and accurate.
KeyResponsibilities
* Conducting comprehensive feasibility studies and projectestimates spanning from initial concepts to tendersubmission.
* Preparing accurate salesquotations bills of quantities and price schedules.
* Crafting detailed tender documents for both private andpublic sector contracts including tender evaluations and projectreviews.
* Assisting in the overall projectmanagement by providing support in project controls management andcommercial aspects.
* Procuring goods servicesand subcontractors while managing labor and materialcosts.
* Analyzing construction plans toaccurately forecast methods materials and schedules.
* Implementing stringent cost control measures andperforming financial analyses.
* Executingonsite measurements and valuations ensuring work packages areaccurately captured and agreed upon.
* Monitoring project expenditures and managing postcontractadministration tasks such as change control and paymentapplications.
* Managing project cash flowsconducting costvalue reconciliations and providing performancecoaching to junior staff.
* Collaboratingeffectively with team members across divisions maintainingprofessional client relationships and upholding company values andprocedures.
Requirements
* A minimum of a 2:2 degree in QuantitySurveying or a closely related field.
* Chartered Membership of RICS or equivalent or workingtowards it.
* At least 5 years of experience ina Quantity Surveying role with experience in utilitiesinfrastructure or civil engineering
* Demonstrated ability to work to the highest standardswith a solid understanding of business processes andindustryspecific IT systems.
* Strong analyticalskills forwardthinking and the ability to make timelydecisions.
* Excellent numerical communicationand organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSuite.
* A team player who is also capable ofworking independently and willing to travel as needed.
