The Role
As a Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing individuals and understanding how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life. Your clinical expertise will shine as you:
* Conduct thorough assessments by listening to each person's medical history and performing physical examinations.
* Produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits.
* Engage with individuals both face-to-face and via telephone/video, ensuring a compassionate and sensitive approach.
You’ll have the time you need to make precise assessments, and while you’ll work independently, you’ll be supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Your commitment to quality care is what makes this role rewarding!
About You
* NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with at least 12 months of broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
* Experience working with adults in various clinical settings, such as Surgical, Medical, A&E, Community, and Practice Nursing.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
* Proficient IT skills and experience with various software.
* Self-aware and focused on professional development.
* Honest, maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
* Motivated to deliver quality customer service with empathy and respect.
* Able to work independently while being a reliable team member.
* Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
