Vauvert Primary School is seeking to appoint, with effect from 1st January 2026, a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher. The person appointed will be required to teach throughout the age range, but initially at Key Stage 2.
Vauvert Primary school is a caring, welcoming school with children at the heart of everything that we do. We have high expectations and are constantly striving for excellence, working together as a team to be the best that we can be. We are looking for someone who is an exceptional teacher; someone who has the passion and the drive, as well as the care and compassion, to truly make a positive difference in our school community. They will need to demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning and will be expected to make a full contribution to the life of the School.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the beautiful island of Guernsey in a thriving town school with a diverse community and a dedicated staff. If you are committed to making a lasting difference to the children and families that we work with and you have a genuine love of teaching and learning, this could be the job for you.
There is the possibility of a Management Allowance Level 1 to lead the subjects of Computing and Design and Technology. If this is of interest, please indicate this in your application and identify what key skills that you would bring to this leadership role.
This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme.
For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual's circumstances.
More detailed information can be found in the Relocation Directive below.
This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector.
