About the Role
As a Shift Leader, you’ll be a key part of our leadership team, guiding and motivating staff on shift while ensuring our residents receive outstanding, person-centred care. You’ll work closely with the Team Leader and Registered Manager, stepping up to deputise when needed and helping maintain high standards across the service.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a vital role in both leadership and direct care, including:
* Leading and supervising Support Workers on shift, acting as a positive role model
* Supporting Team Leaders and Managers with day-to-day operations
* Taking responsibility for delegated care plans and ensuring they are implemented effectively
Leadership & Team Support

Resident Care & Support
* Supporting residents with personal care, dignity, and respect at all times
* Promoting independence and encouraging residents to reach their full potential
* Care Planning & Administration
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records and reports
* Supporting the safe administration, storage, and ordering of medication
Environment & Community
* Ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
* Welcoming visitors and maintaining positive relationships with families and external professionals
* Promoting positive relationships within the local community and with external agencies
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in a care or support setting (senior or leadership experience desirable)
* A calm, confident leader who can guide and motivate others
* A compassionate approach with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and person-centred care
* Flexibility to work across a rota including weekends and bank holidays
* Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
