Location: Omagh
Hours: 39.75 hour week
Responsibilities
* Promote Terex Omagh quality standards, right first-time approach and zero-defect culture and best practice.
* Promote a culture of quality across the entire manufacturing process—from suppliers to the shop floor to the customer.
* Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
* Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve consistency.
* Support creation and revision of quality alerts, control plans, inspection standards and other quality documentation.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Support lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and process standardization.
* Support qualification of new local suppliers for castings, fabrications and machined parts.
* Use statistical methods to fault find and support solutions to technical issues, including control plans and SOPs.
* Assure bought-in products meet quality sign-off criteria, working with suppliers when issues arise.
* When non-conformance exists, introduce suitable containment actions and work with the supply base and technical personnel to achieve long‑term solutions via root‑cause analysis.
* Support day‑to‑day operations minimizing impact to production from quality‑related issues; attend regular meetings detailing trends and actions.
* Support NPPD within the factory from design review through to prototype build.
* Be actively involved in every stage of the process to help guarantee its success.
* Assist on customer concerns and queries.
* Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time based on the company's evolution and departmental needs.
Qualifications
* Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment with quality/supplier quality experience.
* Proven track record in a manufacturing environment covering fabrication and assembly disciplines.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and problem‑solving techniques used in the industry.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Desirable: Internal audit certification.
* Desirable: Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System.
* Desirable: Experience in new product introduction and advanced product quality planning.
* Desirable: Experience in dealing with customers.
