Job summary
This is a role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a large provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
* Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Qualifications
* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
