The Role
As a Survival Equipment Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager (SOM) the Survival Equipment Supervisor is to lead, supervise and ensure the provision of scheduled maintenance, repair and fitting of RAF and Company owned Safety Equipment and Aircrew Assemblies and all other survival equipment related tasks and activities to meet or exceed the customer and LAFT 2 contractual requirements. Complete all documentation in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Helmet and life jacket maintenance
Checking of parachute, flying clothing, and all safety elements inc in flying
Student kitting of flying clothing
Cadet training and fitting.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Leuchars.
Essential experience of the Survival Equipment Supervisor:
Good analytical/problem solving skills in previous roles evidenced
Previous experience in a similar role or environment in a fitting
Qualifications for the Survival Equipment Supervisor:
RAF Safety Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
Previous experience in Q-SE-AC (Helmet Fitting) refresher training provided.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
