Veterinary Surgeon – Experienced GP
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Around £70,000 per annum
Hours: 4 days per week, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings; no out-of-hours, no on-call; part-time applications considered
About the Practice:
Global Vet Careers is assisting a well-established, spacious small animal practice in beautiful surroundings. The clinic has recently been refurbished and offers a bright, airy environment with on-site parking, a large reception, staff facilities, and a lovely garden.
You’ll join a supportive team including a Lead Vet with a Medical Certificate, Practice Manager, Head Nurse, and experienced locums. Access to a surgical certificate holder at a sister branch is available for mentoring, shadowing, and exposure to more complex cases.
The Role:
The practice is seeking an all-rounder Veterinary Surgeon to:
* Provide high-quality clinical care through consultations, procedures, and monitoring
* Deliver exceptional client care with clear updates and support
* Work collaboratively with the team, including mentoring junior colleagues
* Contribute to clinical best practices within the clinic and wider veterinary community
* Support the growth of the practice, including any new branches
Requirements:
* RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible to register)
* Confident working in a GP setting, including sole charge
* Experienced in small animal medicine and surgery
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Able to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues’ development
