We are looking for experienced clinician to take on a new challenge on as a Band 7 CAMHS Primary Mental Health Specialist (PMHS) linking with secondary schools in North Bristol, on a 12 month fixed term basis.
The PMHS position is a dynamic role which sits within our CAMHS Getting Advice service. There is an emphasis on being a link between AWP Specialist CAMHS and schools ensuring that children and young people get the right help at the right time.
The post holder will hold a professional registration and will have excellent clinical, therapeutic, and communication skills. They will provide specialist mental health advice to frontline secondary school professionals, leading multi agency meetings and consultations. The role involves some direct therapeutic work with children and families on a self-managed caseload. The post holder will deliver mental health training sessions to schools as required and will contribute on a rota basis to CAMHS triage. there will be full support from AWP CAMHS including regular managerial and clinical supervision and regular clinical team meetings.

Main duties of the job
To be a part of PMHS workforce with the aim of being able to provide a link and a bridge between specialist Community CAMHS and other frontline services providing referral guidance, support and consultation.
In line with the Primary Mental Health Specialist (PMHS) core offer, time will be divided between the core functions of direct therapeutic assessments and intervention, consultation and training to reflect the needs of the service.
To contribute to the wider CAMHS triage service on a rota basis
To contribute to team development around mental health, wellbeing and practice.
