Product Manager

Job Overview
The Product Manager will be based in our London office and is responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers and products, focusing on procurement and inventory strategies that align with Langdon's commercial objectives. This role demands a strong commercial mindset and a deep knowledge of global product markets, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and demand planning. The Product Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, and operations to ensure that procurement KPIs are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Supplier Management:
* Serve as the primary contact for key supplier accounts, fostering and enhancing relationships to ensure long-term commercial partnerships.
* Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to grow volumes with current customers and attract new prospects.
* Analyse product market dynamics, competitive activity, and macro price drivers to inform buying decisions.
* Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
* Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to stay updated on regulatory shifts affecting product availability and import conditions.
* Identify product weaknesses and gaps to formulate effective sourcing strategies.
Inventory Management:
* Conduct weekly demand reviews, raise purchase orders, and coordinate with relevant suppliers.
* Monitor shipping schedules with freight forwarders to identify potential delays and ensure accurate stock availability dates.
* Manage inventory levels to balance customer service expectations with stock day targets, while also reviewing aged or expiring inventory.
Commercial Activities:
* Collaborate with the sales team in reviewing customer RFQs and tenders, guiding appropriate pricing and product selections.
* Assist in identifying and planning the acquisition of key prospects for managed products.
* Work with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to create initiatives that promote prospect conversion aligned with business goals.
* Attend customer meetings and visits, serving as the product expert for the portfolio of products managed.

* Proficient in data analysis and demand forecasting.
* Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
