It's a special moment in time at Brockencote Hall Hotel - the most intimate of our Eden Hotel Collection, but one with real character, soul, and ambition. With a loyal following, a beautifully maintained estate, and a kitchen proudly delivering 3 AA Rosette dining, Brockencote is poised for its next chapter.
We're looking for a General Manager who's ready to take the next step in their career, and someone with a genuine passion for fine dining and five-star hospitality. You'll inherit an exceptional team that blends long-standing talent with up-and-coming leaders from our development programme, and we're proud to say we've created a culture where people thrive.
We're a business that truly believes in developing its people. Our current General Managers have celebrated 11 promotions between them, with an average tenure of 12 years - a statistic we're proud of and committed to continuing.
As General Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make your mark commercially - from weddings to events, and F&B to occupancy, supported by central support functions.
With the hotel fully operational 5 days out of 7, this role offers a rare balance of quality of life and career growth in hospitality.
What you'll need
* Proven recent experience as General/Hotel Manager or a DGM with significant experience within a luxury hotel environment, delivering 3 AA Rosette standards.
* Financial acumen with a desire to maximize sales and profitability through creative sales and marketing strategies.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of recognizing and developing talent to retain your team.
* A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and unlock revenue opportunities.
* Credibility and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business, influencing success and collaborating with support offices.
* A genuine passion for hospitality, with guest satisfaction at the core of your decisions.
* Experience in a strong weddings environment is advantageous.
