Storesperson/FLT Driver - Winsford, Cheshire
Working Hours:
Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:30 (15:30 finish on Fridays) £13.84 hour
(with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day)
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as business needs dictate.
Key Objectives
Reporting to the Management Team, you will be responsible for unloading/loading of deliveries in a safe and efficient manner. You will move materials across the factory to the correct staging areas, load/unload pallet racking, and ensure all documentation is recorded accurately.
Responsibilities include:
* Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
* Distribute stock to various locations around the factory and document movements
* Goods In: unload safely, check off, locate, and document accurately
* Goods Out: load safely, check off, locate, and document accurately
* Checking loads are secure
* Performing and recording daily equipment checks
* Assisting with stock checks of all materials
* Maintaining production area housekeeping
* Minimizing waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumables efficiently
* Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
* Assisting in stores when required, including lifting items with the FLT
* Always maintaining a safe working environment
Employees are required to adopt a flexible approach to work and may occasionally be asked to perform other duties, for which adequate training will be provided.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Essential Counterbalance/Reach Truck License
* Experienced and competent in operating Counterbalance/Reach Trucks
* Organized, proactive, and self-motivated
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Ability to ensure production output target and quality is maintained
