Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 12 hours per week covering 6 hours Saturday and 6 hours Sunday. The option of a job share could be considered. In return, our Catering Assistant will receive a competitive rate of £12.21 - £12.45 per hour, based on experience. About the Catering Assistant role: Your role as catering assistant will be to provide a welcoming and hygienic environment in which families feel welcome and comfortable. Providing support in the kitchen and catering department to assist in providing a high-quality dining experience for children, families and staff. Your role is to assist the cooks at mealtimes by providing a cleaning and hygiene service, checking deliveries and stock rotation and hygiene responsibilities in the dining room, along with assisting in basic food preparation. Your customer service, approachability and flexibility will be important to your success. You will be a reliable individual with high professional standards and capable of quickly integrating into the small Hospitality team at Hope House. You will be flexible in your approach to working hours and times. What we are looking for a Catering Assistant who has: Food Hygiene Level 1 or willing to work towards. To provide a hygienic environment in which users and their families feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. A good awareness of Health and Safety considerations. An excellent team player.
