Who are Sage Partners?
We’re growing — and that growth is creating new opportunities for people who want to build real leadership experience in a fast-moving business environment.
At Sage Partners, our teams deliver customer engagement and marketing campaigns across the UK for organisations involved in sectors such as telecommunications, energy, charity fundraising, and consumer services. Our work includes campaigns involving brands such as BT/EE, British Gas, Oxfam, and Gather, helping them connect with customers through direct, face-to-face engagement.
As demand for these campaigns increases, we’re expanding our teams and developing more managers who can support operations, mentor team members, and help drive campaign performance. With continued expansion across the UK and international development activity planned in the United States from 2027, we’re focused on building a leadership team that understands every part of the business — from campaign delivery to team coordination and client support.
The Opportunity
To support this expansion, we’re looking for a Business Management Trainee to join our Birmingham office.
This role is designed for someone who wants more than a routine entry-level position. From day one, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day delivery of marketing campaigns while learning how teams are organised, how campaigns perform, and how managers support both people and operations.
You’ll work closely with experienced team members, gradually developing the communication, organisation, and leadership skills needed to support campaign delivery and team coordination. Over time, trainees can take on greater responsibility as they build experience and confidence within the role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Management Trainee, you’ll contribute to several areas of the business, including:
* Assisting with the delivery of client marketing and customer engagement campaigns
* Supporting campaign planning, logistics, and on-site coordination
* Communicating with customers to represent client brands and explain services or promotions
* Working with senior team members to monitor campaign performance and feedback
* Contributing ideas to improve customer engagement and campaign effectiveness
* Supporting team coordination and helping maintain organised day-to-day operations
* Developing client communication and relationship management skills
Training and Development
The trainee pathway focuses on developing practical skills across key areas of the business:
* Business development and client account support
* Team coordination and communication
* Commercial awareness and campaign performance monitoring
* Problem-solving and decision-making in a business environment
* Client relationship management and customer engagement
* Training is delivered through structured guidance, mentoring, and practical hands-on experience.
Candidate Requirements
We welcome applications from individuals who demonstrate motivation, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Suitable candidates may include:
* Recent graduates interested in business, marketing, or management
* Professionals looking to transition into a business-focused role
* Individuals with experience in team environments such as sports, retail, hospitality, or customer service
Applicants should have:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Availability to work full-time on-site in Birmingham
