We have an opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our plant based in Knottingley.
The role forms part of our Cold End Engineering team, responsible for the repair of cold end machinery, minimizing downtime. The Cold End Shift Engineer is responsible for the set up and maintenance of cold end lines and equipment and ensuring the reliable rejection of container faults.
The role is working 1800 hours over the year consisting of 4 x 12 hour shifts, 2 days & 2 nights with 6 off, overtime may be available.

Stoelzle Flaconnage is deemed Stoelzle's centre of excellence concerning development, production and decoration of Premium Spirits Bottles, with the capability to produce glass containers from 5cl up to 4.5l in extra white flint glass or feeder colouration. Due to the utmost flexibility, the site is able to also manufacture small batches for limited editions of luxury brands.
Responsibilities
· Set up lines to optimise container handling and automated on line inspection equipment;
· Undertake the job change process, ensuring all preparation work is carried out to minimise downtime;
· Collate and maintain set up standard fault containers for setting up inspection equipment;
· Proactive maintenance of cold end equipment in line with manufacturer's recommendations;
· Conduct repairs to cold end equipment using the mCShost cost effective efficient methods available;
· Awareness of Health and Safety and hygiene policies and ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained;
· Identify and improve working conditions condusive to a good sorting environment;
· Any other duties at the request of the Departmental Manager.
Skills & Qualifications Required
* Apprentice trained or time served engineer;
* Ability to work independently;
* Knowledge and experience of working with glass defects and inspection machines;
* Ability to coordinate and prioritise workload;
* Ability to provide proactive maintenance and achieve efficient production;
* Ability to set up cold end inspection machines/lines and maintain cold end equipment;
* Ablility to document and record own work effectively;
* Enthuastic and committed attitude with a proactive approach to work;
* Someone who can work independently; multitask, organise and prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines.
* Practically minded: able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in
