Plant Fitter (Concrete / Asphalt / Quarry Equipment)

London Concrete Pumping is a leading provider of concrete pumping solutions across London and the South East. We are looking to recruit a skilled Plant Fitter / Engineer with strong experience in concrete, asphalt and quarry plant equipment to support our growing operation.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a wide range of plant and pumping equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and minimal downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing concrete pumps, mixers, batching plant, quarry and asphalt-related equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
- Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Ensuring all machinery complies with company standards and health & safety regulations
- Completing job reports and maintenance records accurately
- Supporting equipment preparation and testing before site deployment
- Occasional travel to sites across London and surrounding areas as required
About You
We’re looking for a capable and reliable engineer who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Engineer
- Strong knowledge of concrete, asphalt or quarry plant equipment
- Mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
- Relevant engineering qualifications or time-served apprenticeship
- A proactive, safety-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with concrete pumps or heavy mobile plant
- Electrical diagnostic experience
- Welding and fabrication skills

Location
The role is based at our Vauxhall, London depot, with occasional travel to sites across London and the wider region.
