We have a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to join our incredible Residential Service, in New Mills, High Peak!

Position: Adults Support Worker
Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 42 Hrs
Shifts: Days & Nights

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping adults with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs to live their best lives through person-centred support.

Your responsibilities will include:

3. Providing emotional and practical support that empowers people to achieve their personal goals.
4. Supporting individuals to access their community, take part in local activities, and build social connections.
5. Assisting with daily living tasks, such as medication, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining accurate records.
6. Encouraging independence by helping people develop new skills and pursue hobbies or interests.
7. Building trusting relationships to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who brings positivity, patience, and genuine care to their work. You’ll also have:

8. Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
10. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and flexibility.
11. IT literacy and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
12. Above all, a compassionate heart and a passion for making a real difference
