JR Plastering (UK) Ltd is a well-established company with a strong reputation in the construction and property sector.
We are now launching a new service division focused on clearance and cleaning. This advert is for a Cleaning Operative, where the primary focus will be cleaning — deep cleans, regular site cleans, and specialist work.
At times you may be asked to assist with light clearance duties (such as bagging up rubbish or assisting a clearance team), but your main role will be cleaning to a high standard.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Operative to join our new clearance and cleaning division. This role is mainly cleaning-based, covering a range of environments including domestic properties, pubs, commercial premises, and specialist sites.
Applicants must be based in the Wigan area, as you will be teamed up with an existing team member from Wigan.
The role also involves some long-distance driving (shared) and the potential for working away when jobs require it.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out detailed cleaning of residential and commercial properties.
· Undertake deep cleans in kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
· Use professional cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
· Assist with light clearance duties such as bagging up rubbish when required.
· Support the wider team in delivering high-quality results for clients.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, including COSHH awareness.
· Work efficiently as part of a small team.
Requirements
· Must be based in the Wigan area.
· Full UK driving licence required (no more than 6 points).
· CSCS card required.
· Minimum of 2 years' professional cleaning experience.
· Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
· Reliable, professional, and with excellent attention to detail.
· Willing and able to travel, including long-distance driving (shared) and occasional working away.
· Comfortable working in challenging environments (with full PPE and support).
