We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including biochemistry, and possess the ability to engage students in the wonders of science. This role involves creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking while fostering a love for scientific inquiry.
This would be for an afterschool Science club, at a primary school based in Stratford upon Avon, CV37.

Times: 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Duties
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
* Teach various science subjects, with an emphasis on biochemistry, ensuring students grasp fundamental concepts and applications.
* Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance practical understanding of scientific principles.
* Provide mentorship and tutoring to students, offering additional support as needed for those requiring extra assistance or special education resources.
* Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Assess student performance through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, while also proofreading materials for clarity and accuracy.
* Foster communication skills among students by encouraging discussions, presentations, and collaborative projects related to scientific research.
* Stay updated with advancements in science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
Requirements
* A degree in Science Education or a related field; teaching qualification is essential.
* Strong knowledge of biochemistry and experience in laboratory settings is highly desirable.
* Proven teaching experience with the ability to engage students effectively in scientific topics.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
* Experience in mentoring or tutoring students, particularly those with special educational needs.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within the classroom setting.
