Description The Director will lead a global team and drive a robust sourcing strategy, governance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in line with the company's operational, sustainability, and strategic goals. Currently part of the Smiths Group, this high-performing division of around 3,500 employees with 21 worldwide offices and 8 R&D centres, is preparing for evolution into an independent entity in the coming year. Profile Given the level of responsibility, the person's negotiation, relationship management and commercial acumen will be unquestionably strong. As will their understanding of risk, trade compliance and sustainability in procurement. Those are the 'essentials'. Beyond that, experience in a business that assembles complex, large machinery is an advantage. With the international reach of this business and the widespread vendor community, genuine global experience is needed and there will be the requirement to travel approximately 50% of the time.
