Urology Outpatient Clinic Coordinator
Band 3 – 15 hours per week – Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

Responsibilities
Work as a member of the urology service in a job share with the current Outpatient Coordinator/Receptionist, ensuring the reception area is manned at all times.
Act as the first point of contact for patients, carers, relatives and visitors attending the Urology service, welcoming them and validating patient key demographics.
Accurately record the outcome of appointments and make return appointments as directed by clinicians, supporting patient safety.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Patient Administration System training for Outpatient booking (agree to work towards)
Knowledge and Experience
* Working experience in a reception environment, preferably in a health related service
* Experience in customer service
* Working to deadlines
* Use of IT systems – Microsoft Office
* Experience working in hospital or related NHS services
Skills and Aptitudes
* Methodical worker
* Ability to concentrate and work accurately
* Works well as part of a team
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Good keyboard skills for accurate data capture
* Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication
* Acts on own initiative
* Good knowledge of NHS computer technology including PAS system
Other Requirements
* Flexibility to work all shifts and cover all areas as needed
* Flexibility to work at other sites as required

Salary
£25,760 to £27,476 per annum, pro rata.
