Responsibilities
* Carry out repairs, small modifications, major repairs, minor works and routine replacement of components
* Perform typical repairs such as roping, divertor changes, motor changes, safety edges, autodial units, brake shoes, and similar tasks
* Work according to company RAMs and procedures
* Check lift function as part of repair works, including speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supply using approved tooling and PPE
* Report back on additional works needed and the general condition of the lift
* Carry out routine inspection service visits
* Complete all paperwork and maintain accurate records for works completion and invoicing
* Work in accordance with Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
* Comply with Health & Safety requirements and set an example of safe behaviour
* Contribute to the Company safety objectives by maintaining safety systems and implementing approved changes to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system
* Follow Company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and Schindler Core Values to ensure compliance with UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
* Attend all relevant Training Sessions
* Carry out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate Policy
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred (min 2 years)
* NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; flexibility required
* Good problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills at different levels (client/service leader/inspectors)
* Ability to work independently with a flexible approach
* Manual dexterity and use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; ability to operate hand and power tools
* Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Good administration skills and holds a full UK Driving Licence
