The Mller brand is ranked at No.7 in The Grocers Top 100 list of Britains Biggest Brands, and is also the 7th most chosen brand in the UK.Job description:Join Our Team as a Transport Coordinator Skelmersdale DepotWere hiring a Transport Coordinator to join our team at the Skelmersdale Depot within the Mller Milk & Ingredients Distribution Business .In this full-time, permanent role, youll play a key part in coordinating transport operations that deliver both value and compliance.Contract : Full-time / PermanentLocation : Skelmersdale DepotShift : Night shift - 4on4off: 18:00pm - 06:00amSalary: CompetitiveTransport Coordinator Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Transport Coordinator, you will:Lead daily driver briefings and debriefings, identifying and implementing performance improvements via PMS.Champion Mllers safety culture by using STAR cards, conducting safety sweeps, and supporting accident/incident investigations.Maintain and update the sites run folder, ensuring all changes are clearly communicated.Manage breakdown and recovery procedures for all MMID vehicles.Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.Understand and enforce all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Monitor service levels, including customer service metrics and reporting of shorts and lates.Ensure effective resource allocation, legal compliance, and timely communication of changes.Manage the site fuel master key and track fuel usage.Coordinate vehicle servicing in collaboration with the garage team.Will use ATMSI system and tracking and debriefing driversWill be responsible for coordinating the inbound collection and communication between, farm services, drivers and the dairyOversee the Daily Tacho Master system to ensure driver compliance with legal and regulatory standards.Conduct trailer checks, including temperature monitoring and regular audits.Promote and embody MMID values and behaviours.Support and manage third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.Transport Coordinator Key Skills & ExperienceWere looking for someone who:Has relevant experience in a similar transport or logistics role (desirable)Works well independently and as part of a teamCan manage deadlines and prioritise effectivelyIs self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitudeDemonstrates initiative and ownership in their workCommunicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writingBrings a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellenceWhats in it for You?At Mller, we believe in rewarding our people for the great work they do.
