As a Principal Hydraulic Structures Engineer, you will play a vital role in all aspects of civil engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in water engineering across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading water engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Bristol, and Manchester offices.
Your Purpose
* Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high quality.
* Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
* Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
* Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Maintain adherence to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring
* Chartered Civil Engineer.
* Experience in leading multidisciplinary design delivery.
* Knowledge in designing gates, sluices, and other hydraulic structures for dams, reservoirs, and flood control.
* Familiarity with UK design standards, construction logistics, and accessibility considerations.
* Proficiency in digital analysis packages following local and national guidance.
