We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Communications Assistant to join the new Nature and Climate Impact Team, led by Professor Gail Whiteman, the inaugural Hoffmann Impact Professor for Nature and Climate.

The Nature and Climate Impact (NCI Team) is focused on delivering impact across key sectors-Food, Consumer Packaged Goods/Electronics, Digital Technologies, and Communications-by co-creating strategic campaigns and communications that support low-carbon and nature-positive transformations. We work collaboratively across the University of Exeter and with international partners to build sector-specific impact pathways, with the ultimate goal of accelerating action at scale before the end of the decade.

To achieve this, we are recruiting a Communications Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality, audience-focused communications that drive engagement with our research and strategic priorities.

You will report to the Senior Communications Impact Fellow and play a key role in developing compelling written materials, coordinating content across digital platforms, and supporting stakeholder engagement. You will help shape and deliver clear, accessible messaging that communicates our ideas, proposals, and initiatives with purpose and impact. Your work will span briefing notes, blogs, social media, newsletters, and support for toolkits and visual content.

This full-time post is available on a fixed term basis for 12 months, starting as soon as possible.

The position will be homed in the External Engagement and Global Division but will be working within the Nature and Climate Impact Team in the University of Exeter Business School, Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

The starting salary will be from £28,031 up to £31,236 on Grade D, depending on qualifications and experience.
