Residential Childcare Worker
Kare Plus Newcastle are hiring on behalf of our client, who is a leading provider of care for children and young people. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people, and want to make a difference in their lives.
Salary:
£27,200 for non-qualified - £28,240 for qualified (includes 6 sleeps per month), sleep in allowances additional to this.

Qualifications and Skills required:
QCF Level 3 Children and Young People / Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable, but experience will also be experienced.
Residential care experience is desirable, but we are also interested in transferrable skills and life experience.
Understanding of young people in care and the way this impacts them.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide day to day support for the young people in our care, keeping them safe and be committed to safeguarding.
To act as a parental figure and a positive adult role model, demonstrating healthy adult functioning.
Working alongside the management team in providing the highest possible standards of care, guidance and protection for the young people, co-operating fully with colleagues in achieving these objectives whilst keeping the needs of the young person at the forefront.
To be included on a work rota that provides staff cover with the client on a shift basis. This is a 24/7, 365 days per year job.
Taking part in and contributing to a regular supervision session by arrangement with the Registered Manager/Deputy Manager, in accordance with your personal development plan.
To complete mandatory training and regulatory training as required by and provided by the organisation.
