We currently have an opening for a CHP Field Engineer (Engineering Tech) based in the York / North East region.
This role is 40 hours per week.

Main responsibilities:
1. Day to day operations and maintenance, including fault diagnosis, location, and rectification.
2. Planned maintenance and breakdown response for generating assets with minimal outages.
3. Continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge, and fostering the development of technicians working with you.
4. Minimize unnecessary expenditure by utilizing available skills and tools.
5. Ensure stock of basic spare parts, as detailed by the Area Supervisor, is replenished and available.
6. Adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices, following all procedures and exercising judgment.
7. Reduce reliance on contractors where economically feasible.
8. Implement and comply with company protection procedures, maintaining proactive monitoring, reporting, and auditing.
9. Manage time and travel effectively, including staying away from home when necessary, and comply with legislation.
10. Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team when uncertain.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Extensive knowledge and experience in Electrical, Heat, and Mechanical maintenance.
2. Recognized level in electrical skills or relevant experience in the field.
3. Experience with electric control systems (12V DC, 415V AC).
4. Fault location, diagnosis, and rectification skills; Gassafe accreditation or ability to achieve within probation.
5. Electrical qualification or ability to complete 18th edition within probation.
6. Experience with Natural Gas Peaker Plants, CHP, PV, Energy Storage, HVAC systems is advantageous.
7. Computer literacy.
8. Hold a full UK driving license.
