Job title: Employment Solicitor
Location: Central London
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000
The Role
The role involves advising on a wide range of employment issues, undertaking both contentious and non-contentious work. Responsibilities include:
- Reorganisations
- Disciplinaries and grievances
- M&A transactional work, due diligence, and corporate support
- Drafting employment contracts, staff handbooks, consultancy agreements, NDAs, settlement agreements, etc.
- TUPE
- Employment status
- Day-to-day advice on employment law issues
- Tribunal / Court work
- Some experience with the Employment Tribunal process
Essential Experience:
- Experience in advising employer clients is essential.
- Experience in advising individual clients is helpful.
- Ability to make decisions, advise clients, and act with a degree of autonomy (with appropriate support).
The ideal candidate will:
- Have both contentious and non-contentious experience.
- Have experience acting for both employers and senior employees.
- Possess strong academics.
- Have high-quality training and experience.
- Be ambitious, technically strong, hard-working, and a good team player.
- Be confident and sociable, as well as discrete when dealing directly with clients.
