Job Description Key Responsibilities – Chef As Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in launching and supporting the leadership of a vibrant, multi-outlet kitchen operation at one of the region’s most exciting new destinations. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Head Chef in delivering the culinary vision across the Farmshop, Café Restaurant, Barista Coffee Bar, Playbarn Café, Concessions, and Events & Hospitality spaces Supervising and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times Managing daily kitchen operations, including food prep, stock rotation, allergen control, and assisting with supplier coordination Working closely with front-of-house and events teams to ensure smooth service for school visits, weddings, seasonal events, and private functions Maintaining consistency and efficiency across a logistically varied site, ensuring timely and high-quality food delivery Upholding food safety and hygiene standards, including compliance with HACCP procedures Contributing to menu development, bringing creativity and seasonal inspiration to the table Driving continuous improvement, offering ideas and feedback to enhance the food offering and kitchen operations
