The Role
:
The Pre-sales Solution Architect is responsible for working closely with the UK sales and solutions teams to support pre-sales bids and deliver solution architecture engagements. This person must be comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from developers to C-suite executives. The role requires presenting complex solutions to diverse audiences, articulating business benefits, and driving growth for the MBS practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the architectural design of Microsoft-based solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
2. Support the sales team on a deal-by-deal basis, including but not limited to:Production of solution demos and presentations.Completion of RFPs, RFIs, RFQs.Advice on solution licensing and architecture.Delivery of client consultancy and workshops.Development of technical assets (presentations, videos, demos) as part of go-to-market offerings.Building and presenting solution content for product presentations and delivering configured demonstrations to prove our ability to meet a prospect’s business needs.Collaborate with Business Development Managers to take solutions to market.
3. Support initiatives to showcase propositions to customers and Microsoft via online webinars and face-to-face workshops.
4. Engage with KPMG stakeholders to ensure solutions are understood throughout the firm.
5. Maintain technical knowledge by working closely with Microsoft account teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
6. Proven success in a technical/functional pre-sales architect role.
7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure).
8. Experience designing and selling technology solutions in one or more sectors (Financial Services, Public Sector, Retail & Consumer, Manufacturing, Energy, Professional Services).
9. Experience delivering client engagements and workshops.
10. Familiarity with the Microsoft sales cycle and collateral.
Desirable Skills:
11. Knowledge of Microsoft AI Studio, Fabric, Power BI, Power Automate.
12. Experience with Dynamics 365 applications.
