About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Knowsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA to work with primary-aged children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with a competitive daily rate of £110 to £120, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
Work with small groups or individual students to support their learning and development, ensuring their engagement with the curriculum.
Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them to manage their emotions and develop positive social skills.
Assist in the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
Monitor student progress and contribute to assessments and reporting on their achievements.
Help to manage classroom behaviour, implementing strategies to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with other members of the SEN team, including teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals, to provide holistic support for each student.
Support the personal care and well-being needs of students where necessary.
Build positive relationships with students, ensuring their emotional and social development is supported.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.The Ideal Candidate:
HLTA qualification or equivalent (essential).
Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, ADHD, and SEMH (desirable but not essential).
A caring, patient, and flexible approach, with the ability to engage and motivate children with complex needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting children's social and emotional development.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of students.
A passion for working in an SEN environment and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.What We Offer:
